Ziknes Announces €150K Pre-Seed Funding to Disrupt Additive Manufacturing with Robotics Technology

Ziknes, a Spanish tech startup specializing in robotic-based additive manufacturing, announced it has raised €150,000 in a pre-seed funding round led by Think Bigger Capital. The funding will accelerate the development of Ziknes’ proprietary hardware and software solutions, aimed at optimizing the production of metal parts through additive manufacturing.

Founded by engineers Nacho León, Diego Cabañas, and Jose Ignacio Serrano, Ziknes combines innovative robotics technology with cutting-edge software to transform metal additive manufacturing. The startup’s proprietary solution offers enhanced speed, reduced costs, and unparalleled flexibility, all while eliminating material waste.

“Our mission is to democratize the best additive manufacturing technology for industries worldwide,” the co-founders stated, emphasizing their focus on innovation and sustainability.

The pre-seed funding will be used to refine Ziknes’ flagship machine, the Z-Metal One, which is slated for its market debut later this year at a dedicated showroom event. Additionally, the funds will support software development efforts, adding new features and functions to further personalize the platform.

“Our primary goal is to finalize the development of our proprietary hardware and establish a professional software infrastructure. This will position Ziknes as a global reference point in the 3D printing sector,” the team shared.

Ziknes has experienced rapid growth with support from Demium, an incubator that has provided essential mentorship and business modeling assistance. The co-founders credited the partnership for helping them secure funding and define a clear path for future development.

“Thanks to Demium’s guidance, we have been able to evolve as a startup and secure the resources needed to realize our vision,” they said.

Ziknes’ focus on additive manufacturing with robotics technology is poised to disrupt industries by enabling faster, more cost-effective, and sustainable production. As the startup continues to expand its capabilities, it remains committed to reshaping the 3D printing landscape with innovative solutions.
