Egregious Secures $1M to Combat AI-Driven Misinformation

Egregious, a UK-based company focused on protecting humanity from AI misuse, has raised $1 million in pre-seed funding co-led by Fuel Ventures and Oxford Capital. This investment aims to accelerate the development of Egregious’ Human AI platform, which addresses the growing threats of disinformation, AI-driven deception, and harmful content across critical sectors.

Founded by Rupert Small, PhD, Egregious leverages AI to safeguard industries such as national security, finance, corporate security, and marketing. Its platform offers tools for detecting AI-powered misinformation, countering narrative manipulation, and mitigating risks in cybersecurity and social media intelligence.
