The company also announces it has secured $5 million in seed funding, co-led by UpWest and Resolute Ventures. Darwin is rapidly expanding to meet the increasing demand for AI security, governance, and adoption, as agencies navigate the challenges of integrating AI while ensuring these technologies drive real impact.
With shifting federal priorities and growing concerns over AI security, agencies lack a clear roadmap for adoption. The recent ban of Chinese AI model DeepSeek in multiple states highlights the need for a secure, compliant approach to AI governance — one that protects privacy, ensures control, and upholds public trust.
“AI adoption isn’t a future concern — it’s already happening,” said Noam Maital, CEO of Darwin. “Our data shows that over 40% of the public sector workforce is already using AI tools, often through personal accounts and unapproved platforms.
