ServiceNow has announced its second AI-focused acquisition of the year, signing a definitive agreement to acquire Data.World, a cloud-native data catalog and governance platform based in Austin, Texas. While financial terms were not disclosed, Data.World was most recently valued at $350 million following a Series C round in 2022.
Founded in 2015, Data.World provides tools that help enterprises organize, catalog, and govern data — critical infrastructure for preparing enterprise systems for scalable AI deployment. ServiceNow says the acquisition aligns with its broader agentic AI strategy by equipping customers with metadata management and knowledge-based infrastructure needed to optimize AI agents. Integration of Data.World’s platform into the ServiceNow suite will begin following deal closure.
