AI IT Support Startup Console Raises $6.2M for Slack Assistant Platform

Console, a startup founded by former Rippling product lead Andrei Serban, has raised $6.2 million in seed funding led by Thrive Capital to bring automation to the IT help desk. Designed as a fast-deploying, AI-powered assistant that lives inside Slack, Console helps companies streamline routine IT tasks like password resets, app access requests, and basic troubleshooting.

Serban, who previously sold his startup Fuzzbuzz to Rippling in 2023, launched Console to reduce the burden on IT teams by automating repetitive requests. Unlike legacy solutions, Console integrates in days — not months — without replacing existing help desk systems.

Serban said that Console doesn’t aim to replace IT, but enhances their capabilities so they can focus on more strategic work.

The platform acts as an AI co-worker, instantly responding to employee messages with personalized support by referencing a user’s device setup, access permissions, and tools. Console claims to resolve over half of all IT queries autonomously and routes complex issues to human staff as needed. Early adopters include Scale AI, Flock Safety, and Calendly.

Vince Hankes, a partner at Thrive Capital, said the firm has long believed in AI’s potential to transform IT support and that Console’s rapid integration will help it become “an indispensable system embedded into company workflows.”

Looking ahead, Console plans to extend its capabilities beyond IT to support employee queries in HR, finance, and legal, positioning itself as the go-to resource for internal operations.
