Mozilla Integrates Perplexity AI Search into Firefox for Global Users

Mozilla has announced the global rollout of Perplexity, an AI-powered answer engine, as a new search option within the Firefox browser. The move follows strong user feedback from earlier tests in the U.S., U.K., and Germany, leading Mozilla to make the integration available worldwide on desktop, with mobile support coming soon.

The new feature allows Firefox users to choose AI-driven conversational search directly from the browser’s unified search bar. Unlike traditional search engines, Perplexity delivers summarized answers with citations rather than a list of links.

Mozilla said that Perplexity does not share or sell user data and said it plans to explore adding additional AI search options in the future.
