Runware Announces $50M Series A to Scale AI Inference Infrastructure for Media Workflows

Runware, a UK-based AI workload infrastructure startup, has closed a $50 million Series A funding round led by Dawn Capital, with participation from Comcast Ventures and Insight Partners. Founded in 2023, the company builds high-performance infrastructure that enables product teams to integrate AI into media creation workflows at scale. The new capital will be used to expand operations and accelerate development of Runware’s unified API platform and its proprietary Sonic Inference Engine.

Runware addresses persistent AI deployment challenges, including fragmented model access, latency, and rising costs, by combining custom inference hardware with an optimized software stack. Its platform aggregates hundreds of AI model classes behind a single API and has already powered more than 10 billion AI generations. The co-founder and CEO is leading the company’s next phase of growth as it expands teams in London and San Francisco and broadens model availability across its infrastructure.
