Insider Brief

  • Nyobolt has raised $60 million in Series C funding at a valuation exceeding $1 billion to expand its ultra-fast charging and high-power battery systems for autonomous robots and AI infrastructure.
  • The round was led by Symbotic with participation from IQ Capital, Latitude, Scania Invest and CBMM, as the company reported revenue growth of five times year over year amid rising demand from robotics and AI infrastructure deployments.
  • Nyobolt said its battery systems are being used in SymBot warehouse robots and are expanding into humanoid robotics and off-grid AI data center infrastructure, including a planned 100MW deployment partnership in Rajasthan.

Nyobolt has raised $60 million in series C funding to expand its ultra-fast charging and high-power battery systems for autonomous robots and AI infrastructure, with valuation topping $1 billion.

The funding round was led by Symbotic, with participation from IQ Capital, Latitude, Scania Invest and CBMM. The company said revenue increased fivefold year over year as customers ramp deployments of robotics systems and AI infrastructure requiring high-performance power delivery.

The UK company pointed out the funding raise comes as robotics operators and AI infrastructure providers confront growing limitations in conventional battery and backup power systems. Autonomous machines operating in warehouses, hospitals and other industrial environments require continuous uptime and rapid charging cycles, while AI data centers running large-scale GPU workloads are placing increasing strain on legacy power infrastructure.

Nyobolt said its technology is designed to address those demands by delivering fast charging, high cycle life and stable power output in environments where downtime can disrupt operations.

“Nyobolt is enabling the always-on, always-moving infrastructure that physical AI demands,” co-founder and CEO Sai Shivareddy noted in the announcement. “The enterprises deploying autonomous systems at scale can’t afford downtime, swap time, or power flickers. Our technology delivers a powerful trifecta: improved performance, exceptional durability, and a more sustainable operation, enabling a new generation of machines to run harder and smarter.”

The company pointed to its work with Symbotic, whose SymBot autonomous warehouse robots use Nyobolt battery systems. According to the company, the batteries provide six times more energy capacity than the ultracapacitor systems previously used, while reducing weight by 40% and extending cycle life significantly beyond traditional lithium-ion systems.

Nyobolt also said it is expanding beyond warehouse robotics into other physical AI applications, including partnerships with a humanoid robotics developer focused on extending operational runtime between charges.

Nyobolt also announced it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian state of Rajasthan to support more than 100 megawatts of off-grid AI data center and power management infrastructure. The company said the India expansion is expected to be the first step in a broader push into renewable energy integration and grid-independent energy storage systems across multiple regions.
