Boston-based SOND has emerged from stealth with $7 million in funding and a debut product called Dreambuds — in-ear devices that capture 12 physiological signals and use a cloud-based AI coach to actively intervene and improve sleep in real time.
The startup was co-founded by CEO Yadid Ayzenberg, formerly Bose’s Head of Sleep Products, and CTO Amir Lazarovich, a former senior engineering manager at Google. The AI coach continuously learns which audio programs work best for each individual, responds to voice commands, and generates personalised content including sleep stories and soundscapes from a library of over 500 programs.
Investors include E14 Fund, Crosslink Capital, Ubiquity Ventures, and Boston Scientific co-founder John Abele. Mass production is targeted for Q2 2026 following a crowdfunding campaign.
