AI Compliance Startup Dili Announces $15M Series A to Tackle Infrastructure Regulatory Burden

Dili, an AI-powered compliance company focused on U.S. infrastructure projects, announced a $15 million Series A funding round. The raise follows a previous $6.7 million seed round, bringing the company’s total funding to $21.7 million.

The Series A was led by Khosla Ventures, with participation from Allianz, Rebel Fund, Brick and Mortar Ventures’Darren Bechtel, and Y Combinator’s Garry Tan. Dili was previously part of Y Combinator’s Summer 2023 cohort.

As AI-driven data center and power infrastructure buildouts accelerate across the U.S., Dili positions itself around the complex web of federal compliance rules governing construction projects, including Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements and IRA-linked clean energy labor rules. Co-founder and CEO Anand Chaturvedi said non-compliance can trigger fines running into the millions, making continuous, comprehensive monitoring essential rather than periodic sampling.

Dili’s system uses AI models only to convert unstructured documents into structured data, while a deterministic engine applies fixed compliance rules to that data, aiming to avoid AI-related inaccuracies in final outputs. Chaturvedi said the approach can reduce work that once took a full day to just minutes.

The company said its software is currently deployed across roughly 700 projects, split between in-house software use and outsourced compliance services, spanning manufacturing facilities and data centers.
