Venture capitalist Ozi Amanat has announced $200 million in capital commitments through K2 Global to invest in artificial intelligence, robotics, computing infrastructure, semiconductors, national security and healthcare technologies.

According to K2 Global, the capital will support early-stage “high-conviction positions” through the K2 Global AI Fund, with a focus on companies developing large language models, autonomous systems, humanoid robots, defense technology, computing infrastructure, brain-computer interfaces, semiconductors and preventive healthcare. The firm said it is looking for companies developing underlying technology platforms rather than applications focused on a single narrow market.

“Artificial intelligence is reshaping every industry, from national security and robotics to healthcare and industrial systems,” Amanat said in the announcement. “We believe many of the defining companies of the next decade will emerge at the intersection of intelligence, compute, and the physical world. Our focus is to back exceptional founders building foundational technologies that strengthen technological leadership.”

K2 Global’s existing portfolio includes companies across several of those areas. Selected holdings include Neuralink, xAI, SpaceX, Shield AI, Tenstorrent, Synchron, Lambda, Agility Robotics and Function Health, according to the firm.

K2 Global said its investment strategy is centered on technologies that could play a larger role in AI infrastructure, industrial automation, defense and healthcare over the next decade. The firm is also evaluating opportunities in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, applied sciences and related technology sectors.

Amanat’s investor and partner base spans family offices, entrepreneurs, foundations, institutional investors, sovereign wealth funds, banks and strategic operators across the U.S., Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East, according to K2 Global.
