Insider Brief
- Genisom AI closed a Series B of tens of millions of dollars led by UAE-based Stone Venture, citing 15,000-plus cumulative robots and a push from site entry toward task completion.
- ForgeAI raised an eight-figure angel round backed by TusStar for a cloud-native embodied brain and cross-embodiment skills OS, with pilots alongside Excelland Robotics and Jiangsu Longhuan.
- Wuyan and Farada Group signed an MOU for a physical AI brain proof of concept on flexible manufacturing cells, while Qiyuan put Q1/T1 consumer robots on sale from about USD$3,000 with shipments starting Oct. 1.
Two China funding rounds and two go-to-market announcements show continued capital for hardware scale, software brains meant to travel across robot bodies and factory or consumer channels that turn demos into product.
Genisom AI
EqualOcean reported that Genisom AI completed a Series B of tens of millions of dollars. According to 21st Century Business Herald, the round was led by Dubai-based Stone Venture, with financial backers including Hongshan Capital, Yueke Finance, Wuzhong Rongyue, and Wuzhong Financial Holding, plus industrial investors Neusoft Group, Highpower Technology, Yuanjian Capital, and Riying Electronics. Exact size and valuation were not disclosed. Proceeds target robot bodies, embodied brain and task stacks, and its GSD autonomous navigation that moves robots from entering sites to finishing jobs. According to EqualOcean, Genisom said cumulative production passed 15,000 units by June 2026, with monthly capacity more than 10 times last year’s average. It also plans a “Gravity” program opening 1,000 machines and about USD$15 million in resources to developers and partners.
ForgeAI
ForgeAI, a Tsinghua-linked embodied-brain startup founded in early 2026, closed a tens-of-millions-of-yuan angel round (roughly low- to mid-single-digit millions of dollars) backed by TusStar and others, according to PE Daily. Cash goes to R&D, hiring, and pilots for a general-purpose skills OS meant to learn continuously and transfer across embodiments. ForgeAI cites work with Excelland Robotics and Jiangsu Longhuan on property-cleaning pilots, including wipe coverage ≥90%, trash pickup ≥95%, and human takeover in the 10–15% range, with a pitch that one robot can replace roughly 1–2.5 cleaners on an ~18-month payback.
Wuyan Intelligent and Farada Group
Guandian reported that Wuyan Intelligent and Farada Group signed an memorandum of understanding in Guangzhou to run a proof of concept putting Wuyan’s physical AI brain on Farada’s flexible manufacturing cells. Farada, an automotive thermal-management maker with more than 18,000 SKUs, is opening real stations and process standards while Wuyan is bringing a 3D-first world-model stack from data collection through on-robot validation and deployment.
Qiyuan Robotics
Qiyuan Robotics, the consumer brand under Swancor Advanced Materials, put Q1 and T1 personal robots on sale from a Sept. 20 Shanghai launch, Caijing reported. Prices start at about USD$3,000 for Q1 and T1 standard with Q1 Explore at about USD$4,000 and T1 Pro about USD$4,500, according to Sina. Shipments start Oct. 1. Q1 stands about 88 cm and folds into a backpack and T1 switches between wheeled-humanoid and quadruped forms. Both hook into Tencent Cloud’s WorkBuddy for home tasks.
