Poseidon AI Receives $15M Seed Round to Build Infrastructure for Real-World AI Training Data

Poseidon AI, a new infrastructure provider for Physical AI, has raised $15 million in seed funding to scale its platform for ethically sourced, IP-cleared training data. The round was led by a16z crypto, signaling strong investor confidence in Poseidon’s mission to resolve one of the most urgent bottlenecks in AI: high-quality data for real-world applications.

Incubated by Story Protocol, Poseidon AI is building a full-stack data layer to power the next wave of AI systems that operate beyond screens — spanning humanoid robotics, autonomous vehicles, and multi-modal agents. The company’s platform focuses on sourcing long-tail, real-world datasets collected with explicit consent, traceable provenance, and clear licensing.

Poseidon’s infrastructure enables structured data workflows — collection, curation, labeling — that are critical for developing robust AI in physical environments. With this funding, Poseidon plans to scale its data operations, grow its team, and support developers training models that rely on accurate, ethically sourced visual, audio, and behavioral datasets across high-impact domains.
