Anthropic is preparing to raise $10 billion in new funding at a reported $350 billion valuation, according to the Wall Street Journal, with details confirmed by a person familiar with the matter. The round is expected to be led by Coatue Management and GIC, Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, and is anticipated to close in the coming weeks, subject to final terms.
The financing would nearly double Anthropic’s valuation from its $183 billion Series F completed three months ago, following a $3.5 billion raise at a $61.5 billion valuation in March. The new round is separate from the recently announced $15 billion commitment from Nvidia and Microsoft, tied to long-term compute purchases on Microsoft Azure using Nvidia hardware.
The capital raise comes as Anthropic expands adoption of Claude, including its Claude Code automation tools powered by Claude Opus 4.5, and as the company prepares for a potential public listing amid intensifying competition with OpenAI, which is also exploring a major financing.
