Emergent Closes $70M Series B to Scale AI-Driven Vibe-Coding Platform

San Francisco– and Bengaluru-based AI startup Emergent has raised $70 million in a Series B financing less than four months after closing its Series A, underscoring surging investor appetite for AI-native developer platforms. The round was jointly led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2 and Khosla Ventures, with participation from Prosus, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Together, and Y Combinator, valuing the company at $300 million post-money.

Founded by Mukund Jha and Madhav Jha, Emergent uses AI agents to help users design, build, test, and deploy full-stack applications without large engineering teams. The company reports $50 million in annual recurring revenue, more than five million users globally, and plans to use the capital to expand its team, accelerate AI product development, and deepen its presence across the U.S., Europe, and India.
