NVIDIA Reaffirms Commitment to OpenAI Investment Amid Reports of Partnership Tensions

Nvidia has publicly dismissed reports of growing friction with OpenAI, with CEO Jensen Huang characterizing claims of a pullback as unfounded. The comments followed a report from the Wall Street Journal suggesting Nvidia was reassessing the scale of its planned investment in OpenAI.

Speaking during a visit to Taipei, Huang said Nvidia intends to participate in OpenAI’s upcoming funding round, citing strong confidence in the company’s technology and long-term impact. He declined to specify the size of Nvidia’s commitment, noting that funding details would be determined by Sam Altman. OpenAI separately confirmed that discussions with Nvidia remain active, as major technology firms including Amazon, Microsoft, and SoftBank explore participation in the round.
