Circus SE announced live operations of its robotic meal-supply technology with the 3rd Army Corps of the Ukrainian Ground Forces in the Kyiv area.

The deployment marks the first use of autonomous meal-supply systems in an active conflict environment, according to the company. Circus said the technology is designed to support military catering teams rather than replace them, helping supply soldiers with food in areas where traditional logistics can be difficult. It also marks Circus’s entry into Ukraine and the start of operations under a partnership with the 3rd Army Corps first announced in December 2025.

That framework agreement covers up to 25 autonomous robotic systems. The system uses Circus’s full technology stack, including hardware, AI-controlled software and proprietary ingredient infrastructure for autonomous meal production in military settings.

Before deployment, Circus received certification from Ukraine’s State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection. Circus said the certification confirms the technology meets the health, quality and safety standards needed for import into Ukraine and allows for operational use at scale.

The Ukraine deployment follows Circus’s recent CA-1 robotic launch with the German Armed Forces and its public procurement tender award for autonomous meal supply with the Lithuanian Armed Forces on NATO’s eastern flank.
