Passionfroot, a German startup operating a marketplace connecting B2B creators with brands, has raised $15 million in a Series A round led by Insight Partners, with participation from existing backers Creandum, Supernode Global, and s16vc, bringing total funding to more than $21 million.
Insight Partners managing director Rebecca Liu-Doyle said the company is well positioned as AI-driven product launches push brands toward creator-led marketing for visibility and education, while creators increasingly build deep market expertise. Co-founder and CEO Jen Phan said AI is commoditizing software and flooding markets with new products, pushing B2B buyers toward creators on platforms like LinkedIn, Substack, and YouTube to discover tools.
With the new funding, Phan is relocating to New York as Passionfroot opens U.S. and São Paulo offices and expands beyond its current 15-person team. Phan said revenue grew 13-fold over the past year, with clients including ElevenLabs, Figma, Replit, Framer, and Gamma.
Since its 2024 fundraise, Passionfroot has launched an AI agent called Zest that helps brands build and monitor marketing campaigns and identify suitable creators using a proprietary data graph drawn from thousands of past campaigns. The company said it has paid creators at least $10 million over the last 18 months and is now developing tools to help clients track how campaigns influence AI-generated citations and brand visibility in AI-powered search results.
