Voice AI Startup Ringg Secures $10M From Peak XV to Expand Enterprise Automation in India

Ringg, an Indian voice AI startup, has raised $10 million from Peak XV Partners as an extension of its Series A round, bringing total funding to $15.5 million following an earlier $5.5 million raise this year. The company currently processes 20 million call attempts monthly, betting on continued growth as most Indian consumers still prefer phone-based communication with businesses.

Originally launched as text-to-speech startup DesiVocal, Ringg pivoted toward building voice AI agents for enterprises after finding it too costly to train its own speech models independently, though co-founder Siddharth Tripathi said the company still builds proprietary speech recognition and generation technology. Early customers included fintech company Cred, with the platform later expanding to clients such as Flipkart, Practo, Groww, and Policybazaar.

While Ringg initially focused on high-volume tasks like outbound calling and loan collection, Tripathi said the company shifted toward more complex workflows, including healthcare appointment booking, e-commerce cart recovery, and fintech onboarding checks. Its voice agent reportedly now operates across 1,200 clinics for Practo.

Rishen Kapoor, a principal at Peak XV, said Ringg’s technical foundation as a former research lab allows it to handle demanding enterprise workflows with consistency. The company, which has 40 employees, is expanding hiring for engineering and research roles.
