Mundo AI, a Vancouver-based provider of data infrastructure and analytics for AI, has raised $24 million in combined Seed and Series A funding. The round was led by GreatPoint Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, Next Frontier Ventures, and E12 Ventures.
The company said it plans to use the funding to expand its operations and business reach while accelerating development efforts, and is currently hiring across research, engineering, and operations.
Mundo AI focuses on building data, evaluations, and applied research aimed at advancing perceptual intelligence across audio, video, and emerging modalities. The company’s datasets and evaluations are already used by AI labs developing next-generation multimodal systems, supporting work that ranges from natural speech-to-speech interaction to fine-grained video understanding. Mundo AI said its data also helps researchers tackle emerging modalities that lack established learning methods, giving them tools to build, measure, and improve perceptual intelligence as multimodal AI continues to advance.
