Armadin Hits $2.5B+ Valuation With $255.5M Series B for AI Hacker Agent Swarms

AI cybersecurity company Armadin has secured $255.5 million in a Series B round that values it at more than $2.5 billion, bringing its total funding to $445 million. The round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel, with new investors Bain Capital Ventures and Redpoint joining existing backers including Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Menlo Ventures and In-Q-Tel.

Armadin uses a swarm of AI agents that behave like hackers to uncover weaknesses in an organization’s defenses. The company plans to use the new capital to scale its platform, research, training and go-to-market efforts as investors pour money into startups defending against AI-driven cyberattacks.

The company was founded by CEO Kevin Mandia, who previously founded cybersecurity firm Mandiant and later sold it to Google. He is joined by fellow founders Travis Lanham, chief technology officer, who leads product and engineering, Evan Peña, chief offensive security officer, who brings extensive red-teaming leadership experience, and David Slater, chief architect, who oversees its AI-driven technical architecture.

Armadin’s board includes CrowdStrike CEO and founder George Kurtz, Accel partner Ping Li and Ballistic Ventures co-founder Jake Seid, who led the company’s seed round.
