42AI Emerges From Stealth With $62.5M Seed to Build AI That Predicts Human Decisions
Israeli startup 42AI has come out of stealth with $62.5 million in seed funding to develop a behavioral world model designed to predict how individuals will act, even in unfamiliar situations. The funding came over three years from the founders and Infinity Group, founded by chairman and co-founder Amir Gal-Or.
CEO and co-founder Amit Gal-Or said that behavior is probabilistic rather than deterministic, shaped by underlying psychological tendencies. CTO and co-founder Ehud Ezra explained that the system analyzes signals such as support call sentiment, voice, onboarding and trading activity, converting them into trait representations fed into a transformer-based model that maps the probability of different decisions.
The company spent three years building its approach, drawing on psychology, neuroscience and genetics, with input from Nobel laureate Dan Shechtman. Its customer datasets now cover almost 30 million people.
42AI is working with 10 large brokerages on liquidity, margin and hedging, and generates seven-figure revenue. Gal-Or said the model achieves an F1 score of 0.8 to 0.85 for predicting trading direction and volume.
The startup is exploring gaming, fraud prevention and cybersecurity. Ezra acknowledged that potential misuse by customers was a valid concern, with the founders citing regulation, monitoring and an internal ethics committee.
