  • The funding will accelerate the development of personalized patient care journeys, leveraging AI to offer tailored care recommendations and improve user experience across a broad range of medical topics.
  • Amino Health’s platform addresses the complexities of modern healthcare plans, helping employers and employees navigate healthcare benefits efficiently, aiming to improve care quality and reduce costs.

PRESS RELEASE — SAN FRANCISCO/May 22, 2024 — (BUSINESS WIRE) — Amino Health, the leading digital healthcare navigation company, today announced a $10 million funding round led by Transformation Capital. The funds will be used to accelerate Amino’s AI product roadmap to build personalized patient care journeys. This latest capital infusion follows a $30M investment by Transformation Capital in May of 2023.

Amino Health’s care navigation platform simplifies the complexity of healthcare by recommending high quality healthcare providers based on objective, proprietary clinical data. Amino is the only platform that can incorporate the complexity of modern employer benefit programs.

Today, employers are faced with rising healthcare costs, complex benefit plans, and low utilization of specialized solution providers. Meanwhile employees struggle to know what is covered by their health insurance, and how to access programs available to them. Amino solves the complexity of modern healthcare plans by creating a simple consumer interface that routes more than 10K medical topics to the best provider, facility, or employer program.

Amino’s AI investments will further improve the user experience by offering personalized care recommendations based on a user’s unique care journey. In the last year alone, Amino’s Product and Clinical teams have seen the benefits of leveraging AI to generate thousands of new care topics. These new topics benefit a wider range of users and care needs, including expanded primary care, women’s health, LGBTQ+ health, more complex diseases, and specialized care for all stages of life, such as pediatric and geriatric care.

“We believe Amino Health is poised to make a transformative impact in the healthcare landscape through its innovative AI-driven approach to care navigation,” said Mike Dixon, Managing Partner at Transformation Capital. “We are excited to further invest in Amino Health, and accelerate their journey to revolutionize healthcare delivery and drive meaningful improvements in cost savings and member engagement.”

“This investment underscores the confidence placed in our vision to harness the power of AI to revolutionize healthcare. With this infusion of capital, we are poised to strengthen our AI capabilities, expand our team, and drive innovation that will shape the future of patient-centered care,” said John Asalone, Amino’s CEO.
