Genie AI Secures £13.3M in Series A Funding Led by GV & Khosla Ventures

Genie AI, led by CEO Rafie Faruq, has raised £13.3M in a Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to £15M. The round was led by GV (Google Ventures) with participation from Khosla Ventures. The funding will be used to enhance Genie AI’s agentic legal editor, an AI-driven tool designed to streamline the drafting, reviewing, editing, and negotiation of legal documents.

Genie AI provides a comprehensive platform consisting of three core products. The first, Agentic Legal AI, is a tool that drafts, reviews, edits, redlines, and comments on legal documents for clients. The second, Legal Editor, allows for the precise importing of complex Microsoft Word files, structuring them for seamless editing with the Agentic Legal AI. Lastly, the platform includes a Legal Library, a vast public database of thousands of toolkits, templates, clauses, and guidance notes, all fully compatible with both the Legal Editor and Agentic Legal AI.

Since its inception, Genie AI has been adopted by over 100,000 companies, including 11 FTSE100 companies, 20 Global200 law firms, several leading US banks, and two of the UK’s “big four” supermarket chains. Contracts have been drafted across more than 120 jurisdictions, including the UK, US, India, Australia, South Africa, Singapore, and several European countries.
