TwinMind, a startup founded in March 2024 by former Google X scientists Daniel George, Sunny Tang, and Mahi Karim, has raised $5.7M in seed funding and unveiled its Android app alongside a new AI speech model. The company has also launched an iPhone version and a Chrome extension.
Positioned as a virtual “second brain,” TwinMind captures ambient speech (with permission) to build a personal knowledge graph, transforming conversations, meetings, and lectures into structured memory for AI-powered notes, tasks, and real-time translation in over 100 languages. The app processes audio locally, enabling continuous recording for up to 17 hours without draining device performance.
The seed round was led by Streamlined Ventures with participation from Sequoia Capital and investors including Stephen Wolfram, valuing the company at $60M post-money. With over 30,000 users already, TwinMind plans to expand its AI capabilities through its new Ear-3 model, supporting 140 languages and offering a Pro subscription tier for advanced features.
