Agile Robots Launches Humanoid Robot for Industry

Insider Brief

  • Agile Robots launched its first industrial humanoid, Agile ONE, designed to operate alongside human workers and automated equipment using dexterous hands, multimodal interaction features and an AI model trained on real-world factory data, according to the company.
  • The system is built for material handling, machine tending, tool use and precision manipulation, and integrates with the company’s broader robotics portfolio through its AgileCore software platform.
  • Agile Robots plans to manufacture Agile ONE in-house at a new Bavarian facility beginning in early 2026, positioning the humanoid as part of a wider push toward “physical AI” systems for fully integrated intelligent production environments.

Agile Robots, a Germany-based developer of intelligent robotic systems, announced the launch of its first humanoid robot designed for industrial use, according to the company. The system, called Agile ONE, is built to operate alongside human workers and other automated equipment, combining a dexterous robotic hand, human-robot interaction features and an AI model trained on real-world industrial data. The company plans to manufacture the humanoid in-house at a new facility in Bavaria starting in early 2026.

Agile ONE is intended for tasks such as material handling, pick-and-place operations, machine tending, tool use and precision manipulation. The humanoid joins the company’s broader portfolio of robotics products, which includes the Agile Hand, the FR3 force-sensitive robotic arm, the Diana 7 arm, the Thor Series, and multiple autonomous mobile robots and guided vehicles. All systems run on AgileCore, the company’s AI-driven control platform designed to integrate and coordinate heterogeneous robotic fleets.

Key features of Agile ONE include a pair of highly dexterous hands equipped with fingertip and force-torque sensors, enabling fine manipulation and stable handling in industrial environments. Its AI model is trained on one of Europe’s largest datasets of real-world industrial scenarios, supplemented with simulation and human-collected data to improve generalization. The robot also uses a layered AI architecture combining high-level reasoning, rapid response and fine-motor control, and incorporates a human-interaction interface with visual cues, proximity sensing and an onboard information display.

Agile Robots, founded seven years ago by former researchers at the German Aerospace Center, has reported rapid growth and says it has doubled revenue annually. The company positions Agile ONE as part of a shift toward “physical AI” systems capable of performing autonomous, adaptable work across production environments, with the aim of enabling fully integrated intelligent manufacturing systems.euros.
