Salt Lake City-based Cimento AI has raised $3 million in pre-seed funding co-led by Bowery Capital and Indie.vc, with angel participation from figures across Cloudflare, Palo Alto, Cursor, Nvidia, and Okta. The capital will fund expanded operations and product development.
Founded by Zain Rizavi, Eric Liu, and Paul Kong, the company has built an AI-native human risk management platform that constructs continuously updated risk profiles for individual employees by integrating with existing tools including email, identity providers, and cloud services.
The platform runs autonomous social engineering simulations across email, SMS, and voice — often as multi-step sequences mirroring real attacker behaviour — and delivers contextual interventions lasting around sixty to ninety seconds when risk is detected. Each interaction feeds back into the AI system, refining future simulations automatically without manual campaign management. Current clients include Gemini, DigitalOcean, and Moveworks.
