Teradyne’s Jane Heffner Elected New President of International Federation of Robotics

Jane Heffner has been elected president of the International Federation of Robotics, taking over the rotating role from Takayuki Ito of Fanuc.

“I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Takayuki Ito for his outstanding leadership and dedication since taking office in 2024,” Heffner said in the announcement. “The global robotics industry is at an important inflection point, driven by rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and automation. We will continue to build on the excellent work that Takayuki has done as ambassador of the global robotics industry.”

The IFR said Heffner will continue in her position as global vice president of channel communication at Teradyne Robotics, a provider of collaborative industrial and autonomous mobile robots. She has more than two decades of leadership experience across automation, robotics, automotive and aerospace.

Adrien Brouillard, executive president of Stäubli’s robotics division, was elected IFR vice president. Brouillard has worked at Stäubli for more than 15 years and previously served as global head of business for general industry and customer services.
