Equal AI, India’s first AI call assistant, has closed a $30 million Series B round co-led by Prosus Ventures and Tomales Bay Capital, both of which also co-led the company’s $10 million Series A in November 2024. Additional participants include Think Investments, Valiant Fund, PhonePe founder Sameer Nigam, Airtel Family Office’s Zubin Bharti Mittal, Skyflow AI co-founder Anshu Sharma, Meta India VP Sandhya Devanathan, and CtrlS Datacenters chairman Sridhar Pinnapureddy.
Founded in 2022 by Keshav Reddy, Equal launched its consumer AI product in October 2025 and has since grown to over one million monthly active users and 350,000 daily active users, making it one of the largest consumer voice AI platforms built in India. The product screens spam calls, identifies caller intent, and executes tasks autonomously on behalf of users, with adoption described as representing a meaningful shift in how Indians relate to AI-driven communication.

The new capital will support Equal AI’s expansion beyond call management into financial services, shopping, lifestyle, and concierge functions, with the stated ambition of building a single intelligent layer across every Indian smartphone.
Reddy described the company’s trajectory as rooted in a conviction around consent-driven data sharing, now translated into a consumer AI product serving over a billion potential users. Thiago Viana of Prosus Ventures and Iqbaljit Kahlonof Tomales Bay Capital both highlighted Equal’s behavioural traction as central to their continued investment.
