Helsinki-based Verda has raised $189 million (€163 million) to scale its full-stack AI cloud, in a financing that includes an oversubscribed Series B led by Emergence Capital. Participating investors include MUFG Innovation Partners, Supermicro, Varma Mutual Pension Insurance Company, Lifeline Ventures, ENDUR, 6 Degrees Capital, byFounders and Tesi, alongside angels Ola Tørudbakken and Mark Saroufim.
Founded in 2020, Verda manages every layer of AI infrastructure, from physical data centers and hardware to its cloud platform and AI research. The new capital will accelerate product development across that stack, from compute capacity to platform services for frontier AI teams building agentic systems. The company will invest in inference and plans to multiply its compute capacity over the next year.
Founder and CEO Ruben Bryon said AI is becoming critical infrastructure and the coming years represent a pivotal window for Europe, adding that Verda aims to build the region’s first true tech company while reducing the carbon footprint of compute worldwide. Joe Floyd, General Partner at Emergence Capital, said demand for AI compute is insatiable and that Verda is moving quickly to secure and scale capacity.
Verda reached $165 million in annualized revenue run rate in July, has raised more than $450 million in total, and recently opened offices in London and San Francisco, with further expansion planned across Europe, the US and Asia.
