Falcon AI, the technology company behind AI-native law firm Falcon Law, has secured €1.5 million in pre-seed funding, one of the largest rounds for a Belgian legal-tech startup. The round was led by Syndicate One, with participation from Stelena Capital, Greenpark Investment Partners, RDY Ventures and France’s Source Ventures. Former Allen & Overy global senior partner Wim Dejonghe has joined as advisor, saying AI offers a chance to rethink how legal services are delivered and priced.
Co-founders Quinten Vandermeulen, David Nguyen and Amaury Gérard previously built Mbrella, sold to D’Ieteren, where slow and costly contract negotiations inspired the idea. CEO Gérard said they built the platform they wished they had. Former Freshfields lawyer Rémy Bonnaffé founded Falcon Law and argued that the billable hour prevents traditional firms from embracing AI-driven speed.
Clients drop contracts into Slack or Teams, where Falcon’s AI reviews them against a company-specific playbook, flags risks and proposes redlines before a qualified lawyer signs off the same day. Vandermeulen described the service as an autopilot rather than a co-pilot.
Plans start at €1,000 a month, and Loop Earplugs is already a paying customer. Falcon targets €1 million in annual recurring revenue within its first year.
