Mecka Raises $60M in Series B Funding to Build Data and Deployment Infrastructure for Robots

Insider Brief

  • Mecka raised $60 million in Series B funding led by Sequoia Capital to expand its real-world robotics data infrastructure, research and commercial robot deployments.
  • The company records human demonstrations using its own multi-sensor hardware and converts that data into training signals for robots, including motion tracking, 3D reconstruction and sensor alignment, while also working with researchers through its EgoVerse human-to-robot transfer study.
  • Mecka said it surpassed $100 million in run-rate revenue in June 2026 and projects a $300 million run rate by year-end as it expands from supplying robotics data into robot integration, post-training and ongoing deployment services.

Mecka has raised $60 million in Series B funding led by Sequoia Capital to expand a business built around collecting real-world human activity data, training robotics systems and deploying robots for commercial customers.

New investors include Nvidia, Microsoft‘s venture fund M12, Qualcomm Ventures and Samsung, while Kindred, Framework Ventures and Neo also participated, according to the company. Individual investors include DoorDash founder and CEO Tony Xu, former ServiceNow and Snowflake CEO Frank Slootman and former Tesla Optimus head Milan Kovac.

The company plans to use the new capital to produce more data-capture hardware, expand research and increase robot deployments.

The company is focused on a gap between the data available for training software AI systems and the information robots need to operate in the real world. Actions such as grasping, folding and pouring involve motion, contact, force and three-dimensional positioning that generally aren’t captured in the text and images available online.

Mecka collects that information by recording people performing physical tasks and then turning the resulting sensor data into formats that can be used to train robots. Mecka claims its technology has achieved sub-centimeter hand-pose tracking accuracy on data collected outside controlled laboratory settings.

According to Mecka, it has built much of that system itself, including:

  • Instruments: Multi-sensor hardware designed and manufactured by Mecka to capture different types of physical signals.
  • Capture: Fleets that record human demonstrations in homes and commercial environments.
  • Research: Computer-vision and multimodal models used for motion tracking, 3D reconstruction and aligning data from different sensors.

The company noted it has also worked with researchers at Georgia Tech, Stanford, UC San Diego, ETH Zürich, MIT and Meta on EgoVerse, a study examining how human demonstrations can be transferred to robots across different laboratories, tasks and machines.

Mecka said it supplies data to several leading robotics research labs and multiple Mag 7 companies. The company also reported reaching more than $100 million in run-rate revenue in June, only a few months after beginning operations, and projects that figure will reach $300 million by the end of 2026.

Beyond Data

Mecka describes itself as a robotics integrator for companies that want to deploy physical AI but don’t have internal robotics teams. The company provides the robot hardware, captures data at the customer’s site, further trains the system on that information and handles integration and ongoing operations. That approach is designed to allow a deployed system to improve as it collects more data rather than remain fixed after installation, according to Mecka.

The company said it expects different types of robots to require different forms of physical training data rather than relying on a single machine or approach.

“It will be an ecosystem as diverse in shape and size as the work it does,” the company wrote in its blog post. “Soon, billions of helpful robots will work alongside us — in our homes, our hospitals, our factories, and one day, expanding humanity to the stars. Every one of them will have learned from a human first. Humans at the core. Machines as an extension of us.”
