Physical AI sensing and perception company Ouster reported third-quarter revenue of $59 million, up 50% from a year earlier, as demand for lidar and camera sensors from industrial and robotics customers helped drive record product sales.
Revenue rose 9% from the previous quarter, while product revenue climbed 42% year over year to $56 million. It marked Ouster’s 15th consecutive quarter of product revenue growth, the San Francisco-based company has reported.
Ouster shipped more than 27,000 lidar and camera sensors during the quarter, with lidar accounting for approximately 27% of the total. Product revenue growth was driven primarily by industrial and robotics customers using its technology for warehouse automation, defense, construction, mapping and data collection.
“Our Stereolabs cameras had a record quarter of shipments, unlocked by our investments in capacity to meet surging growth in the robotics sector,” said Ouster CEO Angus Pacala.
Ouster’s newer Rev8 lidar product also contributed to customer activity. The company describes Rev8 as the world’s first native color lidar, combining color information with lidar sensing. According to Ouster, hundreds of customers have selected the technology for their applications, although production is still ramping up, with deliveries expected to increase into 2027.
