KisanKonnect Secures $4.5M to Transform AI-Driven Fresh-Commerce in India

KisanKonnect, a direct-to-consumer (D2C) fresh-commerce brand, has raised $4.5 million in a Series A funding round led by Mistry Ventures, with participation from Times Group’s Brand Capital, VC-Grid, Vishwang Desai, and celebrity investor Shilpa Shetty. Founded in 2020, the company is leveraging AI and a tech-enabled supply chain to redefine how fresh produce is sourced and delivered.

The company has built a network of over 5,000 farmers, championing sustainable and regenerative farming practices. Its vertically integrated model ensures that fresh fruits, vegetables, and dairy products reach consumers within 4–6 hours in Mumbai and Pune, a significant improvement from its original 48-hour delivery timeline. KisanKonnect recently piloted 30-minute deliveries, aiming to capture the growing quick-commerce market.

Founder and CEO Vivek Nirmal emphasized the company’s mission to provide fresh, safe produce to quality-conscious urban consumers, supported by a supply chain that offers complete traceability. Co-founder Nidhi Nirmal highlighted the rapid growth enabled by their AI-driven operations, which optimize farm sourcing and delivery efficiency.

Mistry Ventures’ Firoz Mistry praised KisanKonnect’s ability to bridge the gap between farmers and consumers, noting the company’s strategic impact on the agriculture ecosystem. The new funding will be used to scale operations, enhance AI capabilities, and expand into key urban markets, further cementing KisanKonnect’s position in the competitive fresh-commerce landscape.
