Retail Reinvented as CornerBox Nets $1M to Advance AI-Powered Robotics

Rotterdam-based CornerBox, an AI-driven robotic retail startup, has raised $1 million in pre-seed funding at a $10 million valuation. The funding, first reported by Egirisim, will accelerate product development, expand pilot programs, and support global market entry.

Founded in 2024 within the Cambridge Innovation Centre (CIC) in the Netherlands, CornerBox is redefining autonomous retail with its AI-supported robotic sales points, offering 24/7 access to products in cities, universities, and transit hubs. The system provides cost-effective, scalable solutions for businesses looking to optimize retail efficiency.

Co-founder Deniz Güloğlu stated that the investment strengthens their mission to revolutionize shopping experiences through automation and AI, ensuring faster, more accessible retail solutions worldwide. The company’s expansion plans will begin in the Netherlands before targeting international markets.
