Function Health Secures $298M to Advance AI-Powered Personalized Medical Insights

Function Health has secured $298 million in Series B funding to expand its AI-driven platform that unifies lab testing, diagnostics, and personal health data into actionable insights. The round was led by Redpoint Ventures, valuing the company at $2.5 billion, with additional participation from a16z, Aglaé Ventures, Alumni Ventures, leading investors including Nat Friedman and Daniel Gross, and several well-known athletes and tech leaders. The raise brings total funding to $350 million.

Function Health is focused on turning the growing volume of medical information — from electronic health records and blood work to wearable data — into a single, intelligent system that helps users actively manage their health. Alongside the funding, the company introduced its Medical Intelligence Lab, building a physician-trained generative AI model designed to deliver personalized guidance by referencing lab results, past clinical notes, and medical scans.

With nationwide access to 2,000 Quest Diagnostics sites and rapidly expanding MRI screening locations, Function Health aims to make precision health monitoring widely accessible while maintaining strict privacy protections and data security across its platform.
