Maven Robotics Raises $100M in Series A Funding to Develop Industrial General-Purpose Robotics Platform

Insider Brief

  • Maven Robotics launched with $100 million in Series A funding to expand its industrial robotics platform for logistics and manufacturing, where it is developing a general-purpose robotics system for industrial work.
  • The round included RoboStrategy, LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures and XTX Ventures, while Maven plans to expand deployments beyond palletizing and tote handling into more complex material handling and assembly tasks.
  • Maven said its robots are already operating autonomously across multiple shifts for a Fortune 250 consumer packaged goods company and expects to surpass 100,000 hours of real-world autonomous operation by the end of 2026.

Maven Robotics announced its launch with a $100 million in Series A funding to expand its industrial robotics platform for logistics and manufacturing. Maven is developing what it describes as a general-purpose robotics system for industrial work.

The round included RoboStrategy, LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures and XTX Ventures, among others, according to the California-based startup. Maven plans to use the funding to expand deployments and continue developing its robotics system as it moves from palletizing and tote handling into a wider range of industrial work. The company cited U.S. labor shortages that are only expected to grow as driving demand.

Maven said its platform integrates hardware, software and AI across the robot, fleet and factory levels, while connecting deployment data through a broader Maven network designed to share learning across systems. The company is focused on industrial applications that require robots to perform complex tasks reliably over multiple shifts.

“Intelligent industrial robots promise an incredible future. If we can activate autonomous labor, we can build a world of infinitely elastic industrial capacity,” said CEO Hamza Derbas who founded the company in 2024 along with his brother Khalid. “We are building the system to make that a reality.”

Maven began with mixed-case palletizing and tote handling, two areas the company estimates represent an $80 billion market. It is now expanding into more complex material handling and assembly workflows that it says could address a market exceeding $1 trillion. The company said its robots are already deployed with a Fortune 250 consumer packaged goods company, where fleets are working autonomously across multiple shifts each day.

Maven expects its systems to accumulate more than 100,000 hours of autonomous real-world operation by the end of 2026 and surpass 1 million hours by the end of 2027. The company said the growing deployment base is intended to improve the system as more operating data is collected across customers and tasks.

The company is entering a market where robotics investment has continued to rise even as large-scale industrial deployment remains limited. Maven cited more than $18.8 billion in global venture capital investment in robotics during the first half of 2026.
