Treble, an Iceland-based acoustic simulation startup, has raised $18 million in an extension of its Series A round led by Paladin Capital Group, with participation from existing investors KOMPAS VC, Frumtak Ventures, EIC and Omega ehf. The round brings the company’s total funding to over $40 million following a $12 million raise in 2024. Founded in 2020 by acoustic engineers Finnur Pind and Jesper Pedersen, Treble builds simulation infrastructure for the voice AI industry, serving customers including Amazon and Logitech.
The company offers synthetic data generation for speech enhancement and model training, along with evaluation tools that test voice AI models under varied conditions, including a benchmark launched earlier this year with Hugging Face for speech recognition systems. Pind said physics-based simulation offers an alternative to internet-scraped audio data for training next-generation models.
Treble also provides virtual prototyping for hardware makers, helping companies test headphones, speakers and smart glasses before physical production. Pind expressed particular interest in future wearables capable of enhanced selective hearing in noisy environments. The company plans to expand further into physical AI applications, including robotics, automotive and drone technology.
Francois Ruether, VP at Paladin Capital Group, said Treble’s simulation-based infrastructure would grow increasingly valuable as more products depend on understanding sound across voice AI, wearables and robotics.
