Scrut Automation Secures $10M in Growth Capital from Lightspeed, MassMutual Ventures & Endiya Partners for GRC Platform Expansion

Scrut Automation, a Governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) platform, has received $10 million from Lightspeed, MassMutual Ventures, and Endiya Partners to develop their technology further, incorporating generative AI to streamline workflows and expand into North America and Europe. Founded in 2021, Scrut Automation has now raised $20.5 million in total.

Initially, the platform was created by founders grappling with compliance challenges in their small SaaS business. They developed basic automations to handle security and compliance which revealed a significant market need. This insight led to the development of Scrut Automation, aimed at simplifying compliance for tech-driven mid-market companies in regulated industries, which often struggle with inadequate resources and manual processes.

Two years later, Scrut has evolved into a full-stack GRC platform, addressing the cumbersome and error-prone nature of traditional compliance methods. The platform integrates smoothly into existing workflows, automates evidence collection, and maps controls across multiple frameworks to reduce redundancy. Scrut has expanded to serve over 800 clients worldwide and has been recognized by industry bodies like Gartner and G2. The company continues to innovate, providing solutions that make compliance management more efficient and less daunting for businesses.
