Gitar has emerged from stealth with $9 million in funding to address rising challenges caused by AI-generated code. The round was led by Venrock, with participation from Sierra Ventures. Founded by Ali-Reza Adl-Tabatabai, the company focuses on using AI agents to improve code quality and reliability.
Gitar’s platform automates code validation processes, including reviews, testing, and continuous integration workflows, helping engineering teams manage increasing volumes of AI-generated code. It also enables teams to build custom agents for security and maintenance tasks.
Adl-Tabatabai positioned the platform as addressing the post-generation phase of software development, where ensuring code reliability is critical. The company plans to use the funding to expand engineering and product teams and scale its AI-driven validation infrastructure.
