Agibot Announces Hitting 15K Robot Production Mark

  • Agibot has produced its 15,000th embodied AI robot, continuing a rapid production ramp as the company expands manufacturing and deployment of its industrial humanoid robots.
  • The company said it took about one year to increase production from 1,000 to 5,000 robots, then reached 10,000 units three months later with production speed increasing more than fourfold before reaching the 15,000-unit milestone.
  • Agibot said its G2 industrial robot has recently logged about 100 cumulative hours operating alongside workers in a tablet manufacturing quality inspection process, while the company also concluded a six-day livestream showcasing its production operations.

Agibot announced it has made its 15,000th robot as the Chinese embodied AI company pushes to scale manufacturing and deployment of it humanoid robots.

“The rollout of our 15,000th robot is not only an important milestone in Agibot’s mass production and engineering delivery capabilities, but also a reflection of the broader industry’s move toward scaled deployment in real-world settings,” partner, senior vice president and president of embodied AI business Yao Maoqing said in the announcement. “As the industry moves from proof of concept toward real-world application, Agibot will continue to bring robots into more real-world scenarios and advance the industrialization of embodied AI through scaled delivery and deployment.”

The company’s robot, the Agibot G2, is designed for factory and industry. The company said reaching 15,000 units reflects its progress from product validation and small-batch production to larger-scale manufacturing and deployment.

Founded in February 2023, Agibot has steadily accelerated production. The company said it took about one year to increase output from its first 1,000 robots to 5,000 units. Expanding from 5,000 to 10,000 robots took three months, with production speed increasing more than fourfold, and the company has now reached the 15,000-unit milestone.

According to Agibot, the increase in production was made possible by investments in supply chain management, standardized manufacturing, quality control and deployment capabilities. The company said scaling embodied AI requires more than building robots, including integrating hardware and software, adapting systems for specific applications and deploying them into operating environments.

Agibot said it recently completed about 100 cumulative hours of factory livestream operations featuring the G2 working in a tablet manufacturing quality inspection process. According to the company, the robot operated alongside production workers while following factory production schedules, demonstrating its ability to perform tasks in an active manufacturing environment.

Coinciding with the announcement, Agibot just concluded a six-day livestream of its production that can be found on its YouTube page.
