MDOTM Announces $27M to Expand AI-Powered Investment Platform for Institutional Investors

MDOTM, a London-based wealth and asset management fintech, has raised $27 million in growth funding to accelerate the expansion of its AI-powered investment platform. The round was led by Expedition Growth Capital and will support product development, international expansion, and continued investment in AI capabilities for portfolio management.

MDOTM’s platform uses AI to help asset managers and wealth management firms improve portfolio construction, optimize investment strategies, and strengthen risk management. Rather than replacing portfolio managers, the technology integrates into existing investment workflows, applying machine learning to support more data-driven decisions while preserving human oversight.

The company said the new capital will be used to enhance its technology platform, expand its global client base, and further develop its AI capabilities for institutional investment management. MDOTM has positioned itself as a technology partner for financial institutions seeking to modernize portfolio management without overhauling existing infrastructure.

The funding comes as asset managers increasingly turn to AI to improve investment performance and operational efficiency. As financial markets grow more data-intensive and competitive, firms are investing in AI tools capable of processing large volumes of market information, supporting portfolio optimization, and improving risk analysis. MDOTM said it expects AI to become an increasingly central component of institutional investing as firms look to improve outcomes amid more complex market conditions.
