Checkbox, a no-code platform for legal automation, has closed a $23 million Series A funding round, lifting its valuation to $100 million. The round was led by Touring Capital, with participation from Peak XV, Tidal Ventures, Conductive Ventures, and Five V Capital.
Founded to address growing pressure on in-house legal teams, Checkbox is expanding its AI Legal Front Door, which captures legal requests from tools like email, Slack, and Microsoft Teams and routes them through automated, AI-driven workflows. Led by co-founder and CEO Evan Wong, the company enables routine legal matters to be resolved through self-service while escalating complex issues to specialists. Checkbox is already used by more than 100 enterprises, including SAP and PepsiCo, and will use the new capital to deepen AI capabilities and accelerate enterprise adoption.
