China’s Rokae Robotics Announces Delivery of its 10,000th Humanoid Force-Controlled Arm
Insider Brief
- Rokae Robotics has delivered its 10,000th humanoid force-controlled arm, with more than 80 industrial partners using the hardware in production applications.
- Five Rokae Helios wheeled humanoid robots equipped with AR Series arms are working at Schaeffler’s lighthouse factory in Taicang, China, handling parts, assembly and inspection.
- The AR Series provides force control across seven joints per arm, while Rokae’s MAC controller can manage single-arm, dual-arm and broader humanoid configurations.
Rokae Robotics has delivered its 10,000th humanoid force-controlled arm, with the company saying more than 80 industrial partners have integrated the hardware into production applications.
The 10,000th unit came off the production line at Rokae’s manufacturing base in Shandong Province in September, according to the Chinese robotics company. Rokae pointed out that figure covers only its humanoid force-controlled arms and does not include its industrial and collaborative robots.
“The number itself matters less to us than the trust behind it,” founder and CEO Tuo Hua said in the announcement. “There are no shortcuts in force control. Reaching 10,000 units means delivering consistent performance across hardware, control algorithms and manufacturing processes at scale.”
One deployment is at Schaeffler’s lighthouse factory in Taicang, China, where five Rokae Helios wheeled humanoid robots equipped with AR Series arms are working on an assembly line for humanoid robot components. Rokae noted the robots are used for parts handling, assembly and inspection.
Force-Controlled Arms
The AR Series is designed to provide force control at each joint, allowing the robot to adjust its interaction with objects and equipment during tasks such as assembly and handling.
Joint control — Each arm has seven controlled joints, with force control available across the arm.
Multi-arm control — Rokae’s MAC controller can manage seven joints on one arm, 14 joints across a pair of arms or more than 20 joints in a humanoid configuration.
Related systems — Rokae also develops HSA Series force-controlled joints, its iNex embodied AI control system and the Helios wheeled humanoid robot.
Rokae also noted it has spent more than a decade developing force-control technology.
Founded in 2014, the company develops industrial, collaborative and embodied-intelligence robots and said it serves more than 1,000 enterprise customers across more than 40 countries and regions.
